Achievement Achieved
A durational performance installations about video game addition. For the Swiss festival Belluard International’s theme of “retox”, I confessed as a video game addict, went cold turkey for a year and then played games non-stop for 64 hours next to the festival hub. Along the back wall of the installation my internal physiological and psychological metrics was graphed hourly and exposed with my in-game medals – creating a dialogue around addiction, productivity and mechanisms of gamification around behavior.
